Wellingtonians were treated to a special treat Saturday afternoon as Felicity Frockaccino, later joined by The Glamazons arrived at Foodstuffs Checker of the Year competition. Felicity joined her Otaki New World crew to cheer on fellow workmate and close friend, Kirsty Mildove.
The 'Checkers' were put through a vigorous round of heats - starting with customer service, scanning the mystery item not found and organizing the items into categories on the counter. Kirsty did extremely well, however she was pipped at the post for a placing in the national finals.
The Glamazons were a surprise hit with the Wellington gathering, lip-synching and dancing to YMCA before leaving as fast as the arrived to the stage. Nevertheless, they looked glam, even without Victoria and the quartet (Naomi New York was Victoria for the day) pulled off another highly creative show.
